transformer toys- investments for the future

transformer toys- investments for the future

After previously looking at the worth of original transformer toys, i have decided to offer a little advice on what latest toys from the transformer 2 - revenge of the fallen may be worth an investment.
The toy i have decided to focus on is devastator, a character that was only briefly seen in transformers 2 -revenge of the fallen, but has the potential to become a long term winner. Devastator is made up of six individual transformers that come together to form one superior transformer, known as devastator. Not only is this a potential investment but also just great fun to play with and assemble; who says your to old to have toys!

My second toy is more of a personal preference just for fun. The bumblebee voice changer helmet lets you at the press of a button convert your own voice into the one of this unsung hero. A couple of other options allow phrases from transformers 2 - revenge of the fallen to sound, and the third sets free authentic sounds. Or just place it on a wall, the detail is superb.

I hope you all find this interesting and the toys just great fun, what else are they for!!!!

Transformer Toys - is it the right time to sell?

Transformer Toys - is it the right time to sell?

With all the hype and interest surrounding the recent release of Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen, i have been doing some research to discover whether or not this is a good time to make some money from those original transformer toys we use to love and cherish but are just collecting dust in a box somewhere.
Certainly, the resurgence in interest has put these toys back on the shelf and prices for original models have been steadily climbing over the last year. While Optimus Prime is obviously the toy to own, and i have seen bids up to $600 on e-bay for a boxed original, it is the small forgotten bots which complete a collection that have been making good money also.

My personal preference however is to hang on to any model that you may have which is in mint condition. While it may be a gamble that transformer toys will continue to be popular over the coming years, why sell things that have brought so much joys to your lives!! And if we are lucky, maybe we will be in possession of another 'star wars' style frenzy in years to come!
